Apple Reports Second Quarter Results  —  37.4 Million iPhones Sold; 19.5 Million iPads Sold  —  Apple® today announced financial results for its fiscal 2013 second quarter ended March 30, 2013.  The Company posted quarterly revenue of $43.6 billion and quarterly net profit of $9.5 billion, or $10.09 per diluted share.

AT&T Q1 profit edges up as it adds 291,000 net customers  —  The telecom carrier sold 6 million total smartphones in the period.  —  AT&T reported a slight gain in profit even as revenue was a bit lighter than expected.  —  The Dallas telecommunications provider posted a first-quarter net profit of $3.7 billion, or 67 cents a share.
